Transition industrielle et organisations émergentes : l'éthique en question

Emerging organisations (start-ups, platforms, etc.), as well as large companies and public institutions that are going digital, play a crucial role in the development of the economy and in the evolution of many societal realities. The digital metamorphosis has given rise to some well-known "global leaders" (Apple, Google, etc.) who are now important and often indispensable catalysts for innovation in the digital field. But this is for better or for worse. These modes of economic development favour the primacy of financial valorization and short-term flexibility, often to the detriment of social balances, ecological impacts and increasingly strong ethical aspirations. Although ethics is thus directly called into question in the tension games that characterize the "new economy", such questions are still too dissociated from the necessary work of deconstructing the dominant economic and social representations. In the face of such challenges, an important issue of this book is to underline that it is within the major industrial transitions that part of our future is prefigured. In this respect, the economics of platforms deserves an in-depth critical analysis. It is on this condition that new horizons of meaning can be opened up, both in terms of economic exchanges and in terms of a large number of social and political realities.
