Abstract

Ce numéro spécial de la Revue française de gestion présente des travaux dont le point commun est de considérer la proximité entre les acteurs comme une dimension déterminante des situations de gestion qui sont décrites. Ces travaux ont été repérés lors de la XIXe Conférence annuelle de l'Association internationale de management stratégique (AIMS) qui s'est tenue du 2 au 4 juin 2010 à Luxembourg. Nombre d'exposés à cette conférence mettaient au jour une problématique transversale : la plus ou moins grande proximité entre les acteurs a des conséquences sur les processus et les performances des organisations. La concentration physique d'individus (dans une organisation) ou d'organisations (sur un territoire) crée des effets de proximité qui ne peuvent être ignorés. C'est ce que nous appelons après Bellet et al. (1993) l'économie des proximités.
