Abstract

Dans un contexte de mondialisation et de concurrence accrue, l'ouverture sur les marchés internationaux devient une nécessité pour certaines PME. Pour y parvenir, l'entrepreneur s'engage, non sans risque, dans un investissement coûteux. Souvent, les ressources financières lui font défaut. La présence sur le marché boursier est susceptible d'apporter des solutions. L'objectif de cet article est de vérifier si effectivement la cotation en Bourse favorise le développement international des PME. L'intérêt étant de proposer une piste d'amélioration des conditions financières des PME désireuses d'entreprendre à l'international et de contribuer d'un point de vue théorique aux échanges interdisciplinaires entre la finance et l'entrepreneuriat international. Il ressort globalement de l'étude empirique un effet plutôt positif et significatif de la cotation boursière sur l'internationalisation des PME, en moyenne et notamment dans une optique temporelle dynamique.
