Abstract

The economics and politics each have distinct approaches with different dynamics operating at different speeds. What is the more precise definition of international, regional, national and individual security? What are the main indicators of the quality of economic and human security? Security and development are deeply interconnected. The global polarisation of wealth threatens peace and security in the coming years. Moreover, globalization or national economies are means and weapons for both peace and war. International security has to be based on the concept of sustainable human development, which involves bearable production conditions for the environment in the long term, the end of extreme poverty, the creation of social stability and the rejection of discrimination.
