Abstract

Ce travail interroge les changements organisationnels qui se sont imposés au secteur hospitalier depuis le début des années 1990 et ce qu'ils sont susceptibles de produire sur le travail et la santé des personnels du secteur. Pour cela, nous étudions la logique des réformes menées sur la période (transformation du mode de financement des établissements, développement des procédures d'accréditation). Nous montrons que celles-ci sont mises en place dans un double objectif d'accroissement de la productivité du travail et d'amélioration de la qualité des soins et qu'elles s'imposent dans un environnement de travail déjà très contraint. À partir des trois dernières éditions de l'enquête Conditions de travail, nous analysons ensuite la manière dont ces réformes semblent se traduire sur les contraintes de rythme imposées aux travailleurs du secteur et les conflits de valeur auxquelles ces contraintes sont associées.
