Le silence au musée : quel avenir éducatif ?

Abstract

Cet article est le fruit d'une réflexion menée après la visite d'une exposition. A la suite d'une prise de conscience progressive, l'expérience muséale silencieuse relève d'une dimension esthétique propre à l'interaction entre le visiteur et le contexte d'exposition (Dewey, 2005). Une logique de transmission des savoirs, d'éducation et de pédagogie à la formation culturelle se déploie tout au long de la vie. Que peut nous apprendre le silence sur la façon d'accéder aux savoirs ? Autrement dit, le silence dans le parcours de visite peut-il être source de valeur éducative ? La modélisation proposée délimite les cheminements éducatifs du silence dans l'espace d'exposition dans le cadre d'une nouvelle relation au savoir muséal.
