Un paradigme inspire de Weber. Pour contribuer a renouveler le débat sur la sécularisation

Abstract

Dans cet article, Yves Lambert propose le paradigme de optimalisation (inspire de M. Weber) pour rendre compte de la logique des comportements, de préférence au paradigme de la maximisation utilise par P. Bourdieu et les sociologies de l'intérêt. Il définit les religions comme des systèmes optimalisation symbolique et il montre que la sécularisation correspond a une autonomisation de optimalisation symbolique par rapport aux religions (conception du monde, éthiques, politiques, etc.). Appliquant cette théorie au cas de Limerzel, commune rurale du Morbihan qui est passée d'un état de quasi-chretienté a celui d'une société sécularisée entre le début du siècle et aujourd'hui, l'auteur analyse en quoi la religion remplissait et remplit toujours ou non des fonctions optimalisation dans les domaines cognitif, éthique, économique, politique, spirituel.
