Abstract

Ce livre présente la première grande enquête sur les jeunes ruraux : formation, insertion, mobilité, liens avec les parents, cadre de vie, sociabilité, loisirs, couple, religion, éthique, politique. Entre autres, qu'ont de particulier les jeunes ruraux ? sont-ils attachés à leur région ? Comment voient-ils le milieu rural ? Partagent-ils les héritages idéologiques locaux ? Cette enquête est complétée par la réexploitation d'enquêtes INSEE (RGP, emploi, loisirs). On voit se définir une ruralité définie non par l'agriculture mais par l'espace et la nature, si possible non loin de la ville.
