Abstract

In a context of changes in the dairy sector and associated policies, a symposium entitled "Liberalization of the dairy markets: what responses from economic actors and policies?" was organized by the French Society for Rural Economy (SFER) at VetAgro Sup (agronomic campus of Clermont) on June 9th and 10th, 2016. Its objective was to share analyzes and experiences of researchers, actors and political leaders, to make an initial assessment of recent regulatory developments and their impact on dairy sectors. After a presentation of the context in which the liberalization of the dairy markets is inscribed, this article presents the contents of the contributions to this special issue of the journal.
