Abstract

Dans un contexte énergétique dominé par l'évolution des besoins, la disponibilité des ressources et le respect de l'environnement, l'électricité jouera un rôle de plus en plus important pour rendre accessibles la plupart des ressources énergétiques qui sont captées en temps réel et qui ne sont pas déjà sous une forme stockable et transportable. Cependant, pour devenir un vecteur d'accessibilité complet et efficace, elle devra encore relever plusieurs défis au niveau du développement, de l'exploitation, de la maintenance et des échanges commerciaux. L'institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec (IREQ) a entrepris plusieurs projets de R&D stratégique visant à relever ces défis.
