Abstract

Les politiques environnementales, qui se sont développées depuis la seconde moitié du XX°siècle, portent peu sur la biodiversité et les services écosystémiques, à l'exception de la protection des espèces emblématiques (lynx, ours…), de la gestion des ressources halieutiques et des écosystèmes remarquables, comme les parcs nationaux. L'approche des économistes en ce domaine met maintenant l'accent sur les services d'auto-entretien et considère que la gestion de la biodiversité n'est plus simplement une question de minimisation de coûts pour atteindre un certain objectif de réduction des atteintes. L'humain fait partie de la biodiversité et interagit avec ses différents éléments, de manière individuelle (en tant que résidant-habitant) ou de manière collective, que ce soit par le biais des collectivités territoriales, des entreprises ou des administrations. La gestion de la biodiversité est alors celle de ces interactions, à différentes échelles de temps et d'espace.
