Abstract

Prendre des risques en haute montagne répond à diverses motivations. Les analyser peut être un facteur de compréhension des apprentissages qui orientent comportements et activités cognitives. Malgré la médiatisation de grandes ascensions réussies, les accidents sont nombreux. L'attrait de la montagne doit se concilier avec les valeurs de l'alpinisme et la volonté de réduire le danger au maximum. Quelle expérience peut être transmise par des alpinistes expérimentés à des débutants afin d'assurer la sécurité de leurs courses et éviter qu'ils se trouvent face à des situations tragiques ? Une recherche exploratoire menée auprès d'une dizaine d'alpinistes s'attache aux conditions de transfert de compétences, ainsi qu'aux perspectives éducatives et d'accompagnement en haute montagne. L'approche heuristique révèle l'importance de l'éducation au risque dans la pratique de l'alpinisme.
