Abstract

After a hesitant start, the B to C is now booming. A few disruptions however occur at its logistics level. B to C services supply is growing, especially from specialized third party providers in urban deliveries. The aim of this paper is twofold: (1) to propose an overview the logistical solutions adopted by e-retailers; (2) to highlight the urban alternatives that logistics service providers develop and that should be Priorized in a near future. In this context, we use simulation scenario assessment methodology, specifically based on the model FRETURB to assess three distribution systems used by e-grocers.
