Décision d'imitation, vers une dimension stratégique

Abstract

Cet article fait suite à la multiplication des travaux sur l'imitation depuis les vingt dernières années. Ce travail s'intéresse à l'aspect stratégique de la décision d'imitation concurrentielle. Théoriquement, nous avons montré un lien entre les caractéristiques de l'imitation et celles d'une décision stratégique. Ce qui a déclenché notre partie empirique en s'appuyant sur une méthodologie qualitative basée sur trois études de cas. L'analyse thématique et schématique des données collectées (21 entretiens semi-directifs et données secondaires) a fait apparaitre 3 éléments associés à une décision d'imitation stratégique : (1) l'aspect intentionnel de l'imitation ; (2) la rationalité des imitateurs ; (3) l'aspect processuel de l'imitation.
