Abstract

La dimension sanitaire de la vie en société pose d'épineuses difficultés aux théories de la justice sociale. A-sanitaires par nature, ces théories proposent des critères d'équité décrivant la juste répartition des ressources de la société entre des personnes égales en dignité mais inégales en dotations naturelles et en positions sociales. Dans cet article, deux questions sont discutées, à la lumière, notamment, des travaux menés en éthique empirique : l'incorporation de la santé dans l'étalon de mesure de la justice dans la société et la légitimité des malades à énoncer les critères d'équité.
