Abstract

L'époque contemporaine se caractérise par la prolifération des organisations sur toute la surface du globe, par ce que Baptiste Rappin nomme " le mouvement panorganisationnel ". Si certains sociologues se sont déjà penchés sur ce " fait social total ", force est pourtant de constater l'absence de sa prise en charge par la pensée philosophique. C'est à une telle tentative que nous convie l'auteur, inscrivant le management dans l'histoire de la métaphysique, mettant en évidence ses origines historiques dans la cybernétique et recherchant sa structure théologique souterraine dans la pensée juive de la Renaissance. C'est au terme de cette pérégrination qu'apparaît le caractère apocalyptique qu'indique le titre de l'ouvrage : en même temps dévoilement et destruction, le management a bien à voir avec la Fin, celle de l'Histoire, assurément, mais aussi celle du Monde, vraisemblablement.
