Abstract

Comment les cadres vivent-ils la mobilité professionnelle ? Américain à Paris, Français au Gabon ou Nigérian en France, quel ressenti vivent ces cadres, chevronnés ou en devenir, et quelle part de leurs origines gardent-ils attachée à la semelle de leurs souliers dans leur nouvel environnement ? Et comment vit- on, dans la Russie post-soviétique, l'évolution brutale des structures sociales et économiques qui font de vous un étranger à votre propre pays ? Les regards croisés d'un chercheur russe et d'un sociologue, également directeur des ressources humaines français dans de grandes entreprises mondialisées, éclairent l'image contrastée de l'étrange étranger et des bricolages identitaires qui lui permettent de rester tel qu'en lui-même dans un ailleurs pas forcément meilleur. Peut-on alors repérer un capital international qui agirait comme un multiplicateur d'autres formes de capitaux, fonderait de nouvelles oppositions et de nouvelles positions dominantes et ferait de l'échelle mondiale une dimension légitime pour comprendre les rapports sociaux locaux ?
