Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the dynamics of service innovation in the solid waste sector, examining the generation of co-benefits resulting from two Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) landfill projects. Indicators are proposed to evaluate the social and environmental outcomes from CDM landfills. Data collected are organized and analyzed based on two complementary theoretical frameworks: the characteristics-based model and the public-private innovation networks in services (ServPPIN).
