Capitalism as collapsing religion

Abstract

This paper analyzes the relationship between capitalism and Nature. The typical tendency to natural misuse of this economic system, which has no essence per se, is highlighted through Benjamin's fragment Capitalism as religion. The implications of said result are then developed by referring to the Arcades Project and to Expo2015. The sentence "capitalism will not die a natural death" represents the basis for an inquiry which investigates the mutations of a religion in constant collapse.
