Abstract

Dans l'imaginaire français, il ne semble y avoir aucune place pour le thème de l'espionnage. L'hégémonie anglo-saxonne est patente. Visible dans la diffusion des représentations sur le renseignement à travers pléthore de romans, films ou séries télévisées, elle s'impose aussi comme la source d'inspiration des rares productions nationales, copies ou pastiches des œuvres originales. Une série récente, Le Bureau des légendes, semble faire exception à cette absence d'appétence de la fiction française pour la figure de l'espion. Etudier le portrait inédit du monde du renseignement qu'elle offre va permettre de saisir les motifs de cet intriguant désintérêt.
