Abstract

Prenant part au débat sur la tension entre rigueur et pertinence dans le monde académique et le rôle du chercheur dans la société, cet article propose un cadre heuristique d'analyse des modes d'échanges possibles de connaissances en management entre les figures du praticien et du chercheur. L'articulation entre recherche et pratique est analysée suivant deux dimensions structurantes, la temporalité, dépendant du caractère synchrone ou non de la production-diffusion de connaissance, et le mode d'interactions, c'est-à-dire l'existence ou non d'une co-production de connaissances. Ce cadre est illustré et discuté, notamment dans sa capacité à renouveler notre appréhension des relations entre le chercheur et le praticien et de leurs influences mutuelles. Cette analyse interroge les formes de performance qui prévalent dans l'évaluation des académiques en sciences de gestion. C'est finalement la question de l'utilité sociale du chercheur en stratégie qui est posée là.
