Abstract

The rise of intermediary platforms C to C that use the new resources provided by the digital economy and that compete with the traditional hotel industry, is shaking up managerial practices in terms of social responsibility and is questioning the modes of regulation of this business activity. Analysing the characteristics of these business models makes it possible to grasp the keys of success related to these new managerial dispositives while identifying the issues in relation to them in order to draw recommendations and managerial implications. Our comparative study that is part of an institutionalist approach, is exploring the way existing and new actors seize upon the societal stakes that emerge with the transformation of business models.
