Abstract

La "fin du travail", prophétisée dès 1995 par Jérémy Rifkin, semble aujourd'hui de plus en plus prégnante avec le développement des nouvelles technologies de l'information, l'automatisation des tâches complexes, et plus largement la destructuration du rapport au travail que traduit le phénomène Uber. Face à ces bouleversements, certains intellectuels de gauche (Bernard Friot, Baptiste Mylondo) ou libéraux (Marc de Basquiat) préconisent une rupture sociale visant à instaurer un revenu de base permettant de répondre aux besoins économiques fondamentaux de la personne humaine. Les modalités de ce revenu diffèrent mais, dans toutes ces approches, il s'agit de dissocier les revenus de base (accordés aux individus de manière inconditionnelle) des revenus complémentaires qui resteraient attachés à la contribution économique de chacun. L'idée est aujourd'hui expérimentée dans certains pays et quelques responsables politique ont affiché leur intérêt pour cette proposition.
