Faire entrer la responsabilité sociale de l’entreprise en démocratie

Abstract

En produisant un rapport sur sa performance sociétale, l'entreprise ouvre un espace de critique perpétuelle. Or, le gestionnaire dispose, pour concevoir ce rapport, des moyens pour en faire une question technique à l'abri de la critique. Cette recherche vise à faire entrer en controverse les questions résolues dans plusieurs aspects fondamentaux de la conception de ce rapport : soit la motivation à produire un tel rapport (le pourquoi), le contenu du rapport (le quoi), le lien avec l'usager de l'information produite et avec celui qui participe à son élaboration (le qui) et les outils mobilisés pour le produire (le comment). Questionné sur ces aspects dans une démarche de recherche-action réunissant chercheurs et praticiens, le gestionnaire est amené à dévoiler les acteurs et actants qu'il enrôle pour intéresser l'usager du rapport produit en évitant un débat politique structuré sur la finalité et la performance sociale de l'entreprise, de ses activités et de ses pratiques.
