Abstract

Using the concept of Creating Shared Value, Porter and Kramer (2006, 2011) suggest reconciling business strategy with CSR in organizations. However, Porter and Kramer appear to have developed their concept for large organizations. This study based on a survey of 488 French SME leaders tests the validity of the levers of the Creation of Shared Value in an SMEs' context: (1) the participation in a local cluster, (2) the redesign of products/services and markets, (3) the redefinition of the value chain.
