Abstract

Résultat de près de trois ans de travail de la Commission de Géographie du Commerce du Comité National Français de Géographie (CNFG), ce volume rassemble 15 contributions émanant de 18 auteurs. L'objectif était de comprendre comment la Géographie du commerce de détail s'est construite et a évolué au cours de ces 50 dernières années et ouvert des pistes pour de futures recherches. On y a privilégié une démarche évolutive et un découpage combinant à la fois des entrées par les lieux et espaces du commerce et leurs dynamiques et par des thématiques comme outils et méthodes, acteurs et formes du commerce et de la distribution, consommateurs et consommation et pouvoirs publics, commerce et aménagement. Si les travaux des géographes de langue française constituaient le point de départ du travail, les auteurs ont aussi largement ouvert leur réflexion aux travaux anglophones et aux études des non-géographes qui ont particulièrement influencé leurs travaux
