Abstract

The issue of the economic and social determinants of performance of strategies aimedat creating products at the bottom of the economic pyramid (Bottom of the Pyramid-BoP) is still to be addressed nowadays. The method used in this study relies on a case survey, a kind of meta-analysis which allows to capitalize the conditions and the resultsof previous studies. On the one hand, the statistical study highlights a set of significant variables such as quality and adaptation. On the other hand, it validates the existence of apositive relationship between the economic performance and the social performance.
