Abstract

L'article présente les évolutions du commerce équitable entre les années 80 et 2010. Il s'appuie sur l'expérience de l'auteur, à la fois acteur et observateur de multiples iniciatives de commerce équitable. La méthode déployée est celle d'une analyse de cas réflexive s'appuyant sur une comparaison entre les dynamiques observées en France et au Brésil. L'article développe le cheminement des conceptions du commerce équitable vers une intégration des pratiques ancrées dans le local, à travers la confrontation des institutions et des idées. Il s'appuie pour cela sur des invariants théoriques dont les applications pratiques ont évolué au fil des années.
