Abstract

L'accélération de l'économie contemporaine et sa mondialisation reposent sur le développement de déséquilibres économiques profonds qui se traduisent déjà sous la forme des crises financières et économiques actuelles : crise des subprimes d'origine nord-américaine ; crise des dettes souveraines en Europe ; déséquilibres monétaires, commerciaux et financiers avec la Chine. Autant de crises et de déséquilibres très difficilement contrôlables qui font, à terme, courir de grands risques aux économies globalisées et soulèvent, ainsi, d'épineuses questions économiques : quelles en sont les raisons profondes ? Quels ont été, et sont aujourd'hui encore, les rôles des acteurs financiers (banques centrales et banques commerciales), des économistes (experts et chercheurs), des politiques (législateurs et chefs d'Etat)… dans et face à ces crises ? En quoi les situations de l'Europe et des Etats-Unis sont-elles comparables ou différentes dans la crise mondiale ? Quelles sont les perspectives de sortie de crise, notamment pour l'Europe ? Comment le nouveau géant économique qu'est la Chine intervient-il dans cette nouvelle donne financière et économique ? En quoi la Chine est-elle aujourd'hui à un tournant majeur dans son histoire économique ?
