Abstract

Les femmes vivent plus longtemps que les hommes en moyenne, mais elles passent une plus grande partie de leur vie en mauvaise santé. Cette étude s'intéresse à la part des différences de santé liée aux parcours professionnels. Des travaux réalisés précédemment montrent que les carrières des femmes sont davantage interrompues que celles des hommes. Les femmes ont moins de perspectives de promotion, de qualification et d'expérience dans leur trajectoire professionnelle, ce qui s'accompagne notamment d'une rémunération moins élevée. L'objet de cette étude est de savoir si les interruptions, les promotions moindres, les déclassements, plus fréquents chez les femmes, sont autant liés à un mauvais état de santé pour les hommes et les femmes. Si oui, les différences de parcours professionnels contribuent-elles aux différences d'état de santé entre femmes et hommes ?
