Abstract

Cet article aborde la perte du conjoint chez les personnes âgées sous l'angle de l'impact de cette transition sur les comportements de consommation. Trois grands types de décisions de consommation sont abordés : les dépenses funéraires, les possessions favorites et les décisions qualifiées de transition. Les objectifs de ces recherches; dans la discipline du comportement du consommateur, s'inscrivent dans une perspective de marketing sociétal. Deux grands volets managériaux sont soulignés : le rôle des politiques publiques et celui des entreprises dans l'aide et le soutien à aporter aux survivants.
