Abstract

L'objectif de cette étude est d'analyser les liens entre différentes caractéristiques de gouvernance de l'entreprise et la qualité de l'information environnementale qu'elles publient. La qualité des données environnementales a été mesurée à l'aide d'un indice spécifique composé de 12 caractéristiques de l'information. La théorie politico-contractuelle sert de cadre à l'analyse du lien entre la gouvernance de l'entreprise et la qualité de l'information. Les résultats révèlent un lien significatif et positif entre l'indépendance du conseil et la qualité du reporting environnemental. Les critères taille et secteur d'activité sont également validés.
