Abstract

La révolution culturelle demandée à l'université tient en une phrase : il s'agit d'adapter l'enseignement supérieur à la demande de l'économie et de la société. C'est la demande de formation qui doit orienter l'offre. Les entreprises doivent pouvoir trouver les formations qu'elles souhaitent pour les jeunes gens qu'elles embauchent. Ce propos choque la plupart des collègues qui cherchent d'abord à se reproduire. Mais le professorat ne représente plus qu'une infime partie des débouchés ouverts. Et c'est donc toute la formation des professeurs qu'il faut revoir. Face à la demande des entreprises qui évolue sans cesse, comme les emplois, l'offre de l'université change un peu, mais beaucoup moins vite et les comportements des professeurs encore moins vite. Les collègues ne veulent pas changer. Dans un monde qui bouge, qui n'aura pas besoin d'eux s'ils ne bougent pas. L'absence de concurrence, un statut stable à vie quels que soient les résultats, un éloignement total des rapports marchands ne les incitent pas à anticiper les besoins de la société.
