Abstract

S'appuyant sur un ensemble de recherches concernant l'engagement et la coopération au travail, ainsi que sur une expérience ancienne de responsable syndical et de négociateur, la présente contribution réinterroge la place du conflit dans la négociation où se transforme, par l'établissement de compromis, la nature même des acteurs en présence. Il s'agit à la fois de réhabiliter une vision structurante du conflit comme facteur de socialisation (Simmel 1992) et de situer la négociation comme construction d'acteurs complexes. Cela éclaire une forme particulière de compromis, échange de promesse au sens étymologique, engageant une coresponsabilité sur les évolutions à venir plutôt que simple partage ou équilibre d'intérêts.
