Abstract

Au-delà de ses fonctions principales comme le tracking et le tracing (Van Dorp, 2002), la traçabilité influence le fonctionnement des sociétés et des organisations (Hermitte, 1996; Pedrot & Hermitte, 2003). En particulier, le caractère traçable de la communication électronique lui confère un rôle de mémoire organisationnelle prospective et rétrospective incarnant de multiples enjeux pour les acteurs (Bia-Figueiredo & Kalika, 2008). Tandis que la littérature relève certains calculs stratégiques de protection chez les utilisateurs liés à la traçabilité des communications électroniques, nous manquons encore d'éléments de connaissance sur les effets positifs ou néfastes de ces calculs. Cette recherche en cours s'intéresse aux implications organisationnelles du rôle de mémoire de la communication électronique, qui restent mal connues. Nous présentons le design de recherche qualitatif, multi-cas, et s'inspirant des principes de la théorie enracinée. Nous présentons enfin la contribution attendue de cette recherche en cours.
