Abstract

L'exploitation des données de la cohorte ELFE recueillies aux 2 mois du bébé se prête particulièrement à l'analyse des ajustements qui s'opèrent dans les familles entre le mode de garde déclaré comme idéal et le premier mode de garde trouvé car la cohorte fournit de nombreux éléments explicatifs. Dans un domaine dont l'usage est aussi contraint que les modes de garde des bébés (entre autre, du fait du travail des parents, des caractéristiques de l'offre territoriale, du coût…), la distance peut être très grande entre ce que les familles jugent comme mode idéal et la réalité du mode effectif. Pourtant des lignes de clivage sont repérables et elles persistent dans le temps.
