Abstract

The digitalization of the battlespace is one of the main projects of the French army. Each chief, each weapon system, each vehicle will soon be part of only a unique network where information will flow, ensuring the information superiority on the battlefield. However, this approach will require the implementation of a range of additional tools in order to help operators in the process of appropriation of their information systems. Therefore, the simulator "Spartacus", composed of a video game and State achievements, will be the joint technical device for the teaching and the training of the soldiers who are at the lowest tactical level. Our article accounts for its design as well as the technical challenges the French army will have to meet in order to make this simulation system able to achieve any of its missions successfully.
