Abstract

Notre objectif est d'examiner dans ce chapitre les attentes de futurs dirigeants et actionnaires d'entreprises familiales de l'Ouest de la France relatives à la transmission de l'entreprise familiale et à l'accompagnement souhaité dans ce cadre. A partir d'une étude empirique effectuée pendant l'été 2013, nous allons mettre en lumière leurs attentes et leurs craintes relatives au processus d'accompagnement par un parent ou un tiers lors de la transmission de l'entreprise familiale. Nous avons effectué une étude exploratoire qualitative sur un échantillon de 14 futurs dirigeants et actionnaires d'entreprises familiales. Les techniques de recueil des données verbales ont été l'observation participative et l'entretien semi-directif. L'analyse des données verbales a été conduite selon une approche interprétative (Nordqvist, Hall et Melin, 2009) visant à repérer le contenu des attentes des participants. Cette étude a permis d'explorer le besoin d'accompagnement des jeunes issus d'entreprises familiales et elle met en évidence leur souhait de bénéficier de solutions mentorales. Nous discutons les implications de cette étude pour le mentorat des futures générations et soulignons la nécessité de développer des dispositifs d'accompagnement spécifiques afin de faciliter la transmission de l'entreprise familiale
