Abstract

Les achats de transport ont fortement évolué depuis une vingtained'années dans les entreprises industrielles du fait de la mondialisation desmarchés et du poids croissant de la prestation de transport dans les stratégiesd'offre. En parallèle, l'externalisation de ce service a été massive dans lesentreprises et par conséquent sa maîtrise est devenue une problématique àportée stratégique. Ces évolutions ont amené de nombreuses entreprises àfaire le choix de confier leurs achats de transports, auparavant gérés par lesservices logistiques, à des acheteurs professionnels. Le premier objectif decette recherche est de cerner la problématique managériale sous-jacente à cetteévolution par une revue de littérature structurée. Le deuxième objectif est derendre compte des évolutions concrètes à travers l'observation de trois casindustriels exemplaires de ces évolutions. La discussion des cas nous permetnotamment sur ce point de tracer les contours d'un binômage harmonieuxentre les fonctions achats et logistique.
