Abstract

Le but d'une industrie est-il uniquement de faire du profit ? La société commerciale, telle qu'elle est définie par le droit des sociétés, occulte une dimension essentielle de l'entreprise industrielle : la création collective de biens, de services et de technologies, qui souvent n'existent pas encore, au service du bien commun. En proposant d'assigner à l'entreprise un objet social « étendu », voire « expansif », les auteurs prennent le pari d'une industrie capable de régénérer son potentiel d'action pour créer des « inconnus désirables », sans renoncer à la profitabilité.
