Abstract

Les professionnels des métiers à risques, des secteurs de la santé et de la sécurité, accomplissent un travail émotionnel important (Hochschild, 1983) et activent leurs compétences émotionnelles (Salovey et Mayer, 1990). Comment ces deux concepts s'articulent-ils ? Une étude de cas compare ces secteurs quant à la gestion émotionnelle des professionnels. Leurs compétences émotionnelles leur permettent de réaliser le travail émotionnel, souvent en profondeur, requis par l'organisation et le public rencontré. La GRH a tout intérêt à prendre en compte ces aspects émotionnels, pour préserver la santé des professionnels, et garantir la qualité des interventions.
