Abstract

Le modèle des ancres de carrière proposé par Schein en 1978 s'appuyait essentiellement sur l'idée que l'orientation de carrière d'une personne était principalement liée à une ancre dominante. Depuis, Schein lui-même et d'autres chercheurs comme Martineau, Wils et Tremblay (2005) ont remis en question ce postulat, considérant que certains parcours seraient caractérisés par plusieurs ancres. Dans le contexte actuel des carrières heurtées, nous cherchons à mieux comprendre l'association des ancres chez les individus en définissant des catégories correspondant à divers profils. Notre étude s'appuie sur une échelle de mesure des orientations de carrière individuelles à six dimensions développée par Roger (2006) et sur des entretiens approfondis avec 35 cadres ayant connu des transitions de carrière difficiles. L'analyse permet d'identifier cinq groupes correspondant à des profils différents remettant en question le modèle de Feldman et Bonino (1996) qui proposait une articulation théorique entre les ancres de carrière.
