Abstract

This paper proposes an assessment framework in order to identify organizationaland cultural contexts favorable to the use of an information system to support knowledgetransfer. Relying not only on our theoretical investigations, but also on industrial fieldworks, this framework allowed and needed that abstract concepts such as "context" or "knowledgetransfer" were defined. Different visions of information system in order to support knowledgetransfer are also presented. A case study illustrates the use of our assessment framework andthe implications of this work are finally discussed at the end of this paper.
