Abstract

Depuis l'éclatement de la bulle Internet en 2000 et malgré l'instabilité géopolitique et la flambée des cours du pétrole, la croissance mondiale bat régulièrement des records. Ainsi, l'année 2006 a dépassé nos prévisions de septembre, la croissance mondiale s'étant établie à 5,1 % contre 4,7 % prévus. En dépit du retournement du marché immobilier américain, elle devrait rester dynamique à 4,6 % en 2007et 4,5 % en 2008 grâce à l'essor des économies asiatiques, Chine en tête, et au dynamisme retrouvé de la zone euro (tableau 2). Mais la vigueur de la croissance en 2006 n'aura pas permis la résorption des déséquilibres, loin s'en faut. Ils se seront même aggravés, et s'accompagnent depuis le début de l'année 2007 d'un regain de volatilité sur les marchés (financiers et de change) dans un climat d'incertitude quant à l'orientation de la politique monétaire outre-Atlantique (...).
