Abstract

Quels sont les principaux obstacles auxquels les femmes se heurtent dans leur parcours professionnel? 1) L'ambition semble plus valorisée chez les hommes et un style de gestion féminin peut difficilement être à la fois apprécié et respecté; 2) certains stéréotypes sexistes ont la vie dure; 3) la conciliation famille-travail demeure un enjeu important et 4) les femmes semblent moins bénéficier d'appuis tels que le mentorat ou le parrainage. Des pistes de solution existent cependant. À l'échelle individuelle, les auteures donnent quatre conseils relatifs à la négociation, aux appuis, aux réseaux et au décodage des règles. À l'échelle organisationnelle, elles émettent quatre recommandations qui concernent l'adoption de programmes, la priorisation d'une culture et de valeurs de gestion, le soutien à la formation de réseaux et l'aide à la conciliation famille-travail.
