Perspectives 2007-2008. Asie : au dessus de la mêlée

Abstract

Avec une croissance de 9 % en 2006, l'Asie domine nettement le reste du monde en termes de performance économique et enregistre un record de croissance depuis la crise asiatique. Le dynamisme des deux géants ne se dément pas : la Chine atteint des sommets avec une croissance de 11,9 % en glissement annuel au deuxième trimestre 2007 (voir dans ce dossier la fiche " Chine : l'horoscope tiendra-t-il ses promesses ? "), tandis qu'en deuxième ligne, l'Inde affiche 9,3 %. Actuellement en haut de cycle, la croissance devrait ralentir à l'horizon 2008, mais de façon modérée. La vigueur de la demande en provenance de la zone euro et du Japon compenserait le ralentissement américain. Nous tablons donc sur une croissance de 8,9 % en 2007 suivie de 8,4 % en 2008. L'Asie contribuerait alors en 2007 et 2008 davantage à la croissance mondiale mesurée en dollars courants que les États-Unis et la zone euro réunis (1,2 contre 1,1 point respectivement) (...).
