Abstract

L'Office indépendant d'évaluation (OIE), créé il y a trois ans au sein du Fonds monétaire international (FMI), a publié au milieu de l'été 2004 un rapport remarquable sur l'action de cette institution en Argentine 1 pendant la période du Currency Board - ce régime monétaire excessivement rigide, adopté à l'issue de l'hyperinflation de 1989- 1990, et qui a pris fin en décembre 2001 dans un contexte d'effondrement bancaire, de défaut sur la dette extérieure et de détresse sociale 2 (...).
