Abstract

En quelques années, nous avons assisté à une diffusion massive des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication (TIC), qui a engendré de nombreux impacts environnementaux et sociaux. Ainsi, les TIC produiraient 2% des émissions de CO2, elles représenteraient 10% de la consommation électrique mondiale et génèreraient chaque année quelques 60 millions de tonnes de déchets d'équipements électriques et électroniques (DEEE). Si la question de ces impacts n'avait suscité jusqu'ici que peu d'intérêt, c'est en raison de leur caractère présupposé immatériel", toutefois, cette question trouve aujourd'hui une acuité particulière dans un contexte de crise environnementale planétaire. Cette conférence aura pour but de faire un état des lieux de cette réflexion en termes d'impacts, d'outils d'évaluation et offrira des perspectives d'analyse critique de l'utilisation des TIC.
