Abstract

La consommation responsable (CR) est un sujet d'actualité qui a fait l'objet de nombreuses recherches dans diverses disciplines. Néanmoins, peu de travaux ont étudié ce phénomène dans une perspective multiculturelle. L'objectif de cet article est d'examiner la manière dont les jeunes consommateurs globaux perçoivent la consommation responsable. L'étude a été réalisée auprès de jeunes consommateurs de différents pays (Inde, Chine et Hong Kong, Canada, Mexique, Sénégal et Cameron). Les résultats indiquent que selon le pays considéré, la CR est perçue comme étant plus ou moins importante. En regroupant les nationalités et à travers une approche qualimétrique, un modèle théorique de la manière de développer la CR selon les jeunes consommateurs est mis en perspective. Les résultats mettent en évidence l'apparition d'une conscience responsable globale pour la CR auprès des jeunes consommateurs internationaux.
