Abstract

This study has shown interest in the behaviour commitment in a process of Validation of the Assets of Experiment (VAE) and in the intention (adoption or reject of this said behaviour). These are studied through the Theory of the Planned Behaviour (TPB). Thus, the research problematic consists in wondering about the elements that are able to explain a person choice in its engagement in a process of VAE. After an overview of VAE from its origin to its establishment, this article defines what the engagement intention in formation is by pointing out what could be the motivational reasons of commitment intention and the different types of commitment. The choice made of studying the VAE with the help of TPB is laid down by the fact that it is one of most famous psychosocial theories to predict someone's behaviour (Ajzen and Cote, 2008). This research, based on an empirical research, relies on quantitative methodology. The measurement instrument was conceived by the authors and administrated to 137 people who are in a VAE approach. The results of the study, obtained by using different statistical tools as the logit model and linear regression, show that a person's attitude in its commitment in a process of VAE, the perceived behavioural control and subjective norms lead to its intention to obtain all or a part of a diploma. A person's behaviour in its own commitment is also explained by the intention, the perceived behavioural control, the subjective norms and attitude inputs. The discussion of the results highlights the differences between the starting in formation forecasts and the commitment forecasts in a process of VAE. Likewise, a focus has been made on the role of skilled workers in charge of the candidate support towards VAE. This paper underlines that the intention model can be mobilised as an indicator of a person commitment through a VAE process. The Azjen's planned behaviour model (1985) runs out in totality in the framework of the engagement through a process of VAE. Besides, this research has allowed a measurement instrument approving on the intention of undertaking a VAE process.
